About the Award
The John Prasch Health and Physical Fitness Award is an award to recognize an educator each year who has made a significant contribution to students’ lives by promoting health and physical fitness. Mr. Prasch, a former superintendent of the Lincoln Public Schools, believed very strongly not only in educating students academically, but also in teaching them to appreciate and practice good living habits that promote good health for a lifetime. This award, which includes a stipend, was created by Edward and Mary Copple to honor John Prasch and his dedication to the youth in our community.
